On an iPad
- Open the Settings app
- Tap Wi-Fi in the left column
- Select the appropriate network
- You may have to select Temp or Guest so the device can get settings from the management server
- Devices assigned to staff should use the Staff network
- Devices assigned to students should use either Durant-Student or SFHS-Student
- The device should know the password - if it does not connect to the appropriate network please file a help ticket
- Close the Settings app
On a Mac
- Click on the Wi-Fi status indicator in the Menu Bar (right side - looks like a radar image)
- If the status indicator is not in the Menu Bar open System Preferences
- Select Network (third row)
- Select Wi-Fi on the left
- Place a checkmark in the box next to Show Wi-Fi status in menu bar
- Make sure that Wi-Fi is turned on
- Select the appropriate network
- You may have to select Temp or Guest so the device can get settings from the management server
- Devices assigned to staff should use the Staff network

Changing the preferred Wireless network on a Mac (if your computer keeps connecting to the wrong network when it wakes)
- Open System Preferences
- Select Network
- Select Wi-Fi on the left
- Click on the Advanced button
- You should see a list of every Wi-Fi network you've ever used
- You can delete any that you will no longer be using.
- Click and drag your preferred network(s) to the top of the list
- Either delete the networks you don't want or click and drag them to the bottom
